"The Sims 3" is a life simulation game that allows players to control every aspect of a Sim's life. Sims can work, play and maintain relationships. The medical career track helps you to fulfill your lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. Becoming a surgeon in "The Sims 3" involves a great deal of research. You can improve your research skills and rise from an organ donor to a world renowned surgeon in no time. Increasing your logic skills and putting in extra work at home will help your Sim to move up.

  Check your Sim's inventory when she comes home from work. Click on the notebook in the inventory and click "Read." The notebook is your Sim's journal from work. It updates each time your Sim goes to work.

  Read several logic books. Logic helps to improve your research in the Sims. The books can be found in your Sim's bookcase. You can also obtain new logic books at the library or bookstore.

  Play chess either on the computer or using your chess table. If you play using the chess table, you can play by yourself or with another Sim. Click on the chess table and click "Invite." Select the Sim you want to play against and wait for him to join the table.

  Use a telescope to improve your logic. Continued use of a telescope will not only improve your logic skills, but provide your Sim with fun points.
