General Tips
Running away from an enemy when you're about to die is a good idea, as you can regroup and heal yourself while the monster will retain the same lowered level of hit points. It also helps to take quests one level above your current level to maximize the profit received from quests; going down to dungeon level one and refreshing the quest list is a good way to make this happen. It's only possible to accept three quests at a time, so be sure to take only those quests with sufficient rewards.
Fishing and Pets
Fishing is a simple activity in "Fate" that will allow you to nab items you can either use yourself or sell for a profit. Certain fish can dramatically change the attributes or resistances of your pets, especially, any fish with "Flawless" before its type. Pets can wear two rings and an amulet to boost its powers and, even though you don't have direct control over the leveling of your pet, it can be a handy distraction or ally in a fight. Pets are also useful for their ability to carry large amounts of items; this is increasingly useful as the game goes on and your own inventory fills up. When both you and your pet run out of room in your inventory, you can command the pet to go back to town, where it will sell off everything in its pack and return to you with the profits.
Cheats
Press "Ctrl," "Shift" and "~" to bring up a "?" on the left side of the screen, at which you'll be able to enter many different cheat codes. Summon an item or a creature to your location by typing the desired creature or item name or bring up one of the different fountains by typing "Fountain of ___," filling in the blank with "Mana", "Health", "Stamina" or "Wellness". Ascend or descend the desired number of dungeon levels by typing, for example, "Ascend 10" to go up 10 levels. Add 1000 fame points by typing "Fame" or 500,000 gold pieces by typing "Gold".
