How to Defeat the Tower in Summoner 2

A role-playing game for the PlayStation 2 from developer Volition, "Summoner 2" places players in the role of Maia, a young queen seeking to avoid enslavement from the ruthless King Galdyr. Towards the end of the game, players must explore the Tower of the Ancient Ones, and defeat the tower's guardian, Sharangir. Defeating Sharangir requires players to focus on attacking his eye, while avoiding taking damage from his attacks.

Instructions

    • 1

Target Sharangir's eye with Taurgis, and continue to hit the eye through out the battle. Striking the eye will cause Sharangir's shield to fall, allowing you to attack him with your two other characters. Use the pedestals surrounding Sharangir's eye to confuse the boss, and to receive the 15 percent damage bonus for attacking an opponent from higher ground.

    • 2

Use Maia's summoning power to call forth "Blood Level 2," and attack Sharangir once in this form. Attack Sharangir from behind when in Blood form until your health points dip to around 400 and then retreat. You take more damage when hit from behind, so avoid turning your back on Sharangir when retreating.

    • 3

Assign Morbazan as your group's healer during the battle, and position him on one of the pedals in front of Sharangir. Use Morbazan as a decoy for Sharangir to attack while Taurgis hits him in the eye, and Maia attacks from behind. As the healer, Morbazan will heal himself and the others when his health runs low.

    • 4

Continue striking Sharangir using this attack pattern until he is defeated. Sharangir has a high-hit point total, and it will take several minutes of continued attacks to defeat him. If two of your characters die, it's wise to restart the battle because one character is not enough to defeat Sharangir.
