Cheats for the PS2's Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles

Characters

• Complete the first chapter to unlock the characters Sakura and Kakashi. Clear chapters 3, 4, 5 and 6 to unlock the characters Neji, Shikamaru, Rock Lee and Choji, respectively. Finish the eighth chapter for Might Guy and the ninth for Gaara. Play through the entire story mode twice to earn the character Sasuke. Unlock Kakashi Gaiden by clearing all missions with an "S" rating. Beat Kakashi Gaiden to receive Kisame and Itachi.

Skill Chips

• In "Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles," you can unlock skill chips for each character that increase its stats. Clear all of the 12 battles in Survival mode with the character Naruto Uzumaki to unlock the "Naruto's Courage" chip, which increases Health and Chakara by 100. Complete Survival mode with Sakura Haruno to unlock the "Sakura's Wish" chip which improves Taijustu attack and defense by 50. The "Choji's Friendship" chip boosts Taijutsu defense by 50 and reduces Taijutsu damage by 20 percent; complete Survival mode with Choji Akimichi to unlock this chip for him.

Loading Screen Cheat

• When waiting for loading screens, keep your eyes peeled for the Konoha symbol, which looks like a leaf. Rotate the left or right analog stick when this happens until a blue ball appears on the screen. Your stamina bar will increase by 25 percent.

Find Ninjas Quickly

• Don't hunt around for the ninjas that wear hats. This variety of ninja throws shuriken, which is a traditional Japanese throwing weapon. Dodge the weapon and head to the place it was thrown from, where the ninja will be waiting for you to fight.

Easy Kill

• Use your standard attacks on an opponent; don't fight to kill -- just knock him over. When an enemy is on the floor, charge up a Power Strike by holding down the "R2" button. Release "R2" when the enemy stands up to defeat your foe.
