Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Cheats for Mega Collection Plus

You don't have to own a game console from the 1990s to play "Sonic the Hedgehog 2." Thanks to "Sonic Mega Collection Plus," all you need is a PlayStation console. The classic hedgehog game is known for its speed, blue hero and the various debug cheats you can input. Armed with a few cheats, you can experience "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" in different ways.

Sound Menu Cheats
- Go to the sound test screen. To unlock all of the emeralds in the game, play soundtracks 01, 06, 07, 07, 07, 02, 01 and 06 in order. You can also unlock debug mode by playing soundtracks 01, 09, 09, 04, 01, 00, 01 and 08 and then pressing "Select" and "A" when choosing a level.
Level Select Knuckles
- As Knuckles, you can unlock a sound test and level selection at the title screen. To get both of these features, press "up" three times, "down" three times and then "left," "right," "left" and "right."
Level-Select Sonic
- Choose the sound test option from the options section. Play items 19, 65, 09 and 17 in order. Press "Start" and hold "square." As soon as the menu reappears, keep holding "Square" and press "Start" again on one player to choose the level you want.
Unlock Super Sonic
- Perform the level-select code described above. While in the level-select area, go to the sound test and play tracks 04, 01, 02 and 06. You should hear a jingle for the chaos emeralds. Now, once you collect 50 rings in any level, you can transform into Super Sonic as long as you keep your ring count up.
