Press the "R3" button during the "3,2,1" countdown before a race; this will show the best available route and where to start braking during B and A license tests and other tests without a pace car. Hold the "L3" button during replays to speed them up and press the "O" button to turn off the background music. Press "X" while in a pit stop to cease refueling; this will get you out of the stop more quickly.
Hold "L1," "L2," "R1," "R2," "Start" and "Stop" simultaneously to tune your car while at your home base to save time. Press the "Square" button during replays to see the action in infrared or night vision. Go to the used car lots during days 694 to 700 in the game and buy any of the black versions of certain vehicles; this is the only time they are available for purchase.
Use the "automatic transmission" option while racing and hold down "R2" to keep your car in the same gear; this helps maintain your speed at corners. Access the main menu and press "L1" or "R1" to go directly to the car manufacturer for your current vehicle. Earn all available car licenses except for "S" and you will still be able to race in "S" races; simply enter that race with the correct requirements for that race in "B Spec" mode.
Enter the race "Fuji 1000km," using the Minolta with the "B Spec" during a day in the summer at 11pm. Avoid pit stops and build up at least a 40 second lead in roughly 10-15 minutes. Go to bed in the game with this lead and when you wake up at 8am and you will receive $750,000 and a car worth $700,000. Repeat this as necessary to build up as much money as you need.
