How to Use a Memory Stick With GameShark 2

GameShark 2 is a game cheats system that allows you to download cheats to a USB drive and import the data onto a Sony PlayStation 2. This gives you the ability to bypass many of the difficult aspects of many games or gives you unlimited life and ammo in others. When using the GameShark 2 system you do need a USB memory stick to transfer the downloaded codes to the PS2.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the USB flash drive into one of the USB ports on your computer.

    • 2

Open your Internet browser and navigate to the GameShark website.

    • 3

Select "Codes," then search for the particular game and platform you want the codes for. Once the codes appear on the screen select the "Download" link, then choose the USB flash drive as the download location. The codes will download directly to the USB flash drive. Disconnect the USB drive from your computer once the transfer is complete.

    • 4

Connect the PS2 to USB adapter into one of the controller ports.

    • 5

Insert the GameShark 2 game disc into the disc drive of the PS2, then connect the USB flash drive into the USB end of the adapter. The disc loads, then automatically imports the cheat information onto the PS2. A message appears once the upload has finished. The next time you start the game you are given the option of using the obtained cheats.
