Bret Michael's PS2 Guitar Hero 3 Cheats

Unlock Bret Michaels

• Games of "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" are underscored with background performances by a flamboyant rock band. To change the band's lead singer to Poison singer Bret Michaels, enter the "Cheats" menu from the game's "Options" section. Select "Enter Cheat," then hold the guitar's "Green" and "Red" buttons and strum three times. Release "Red" and hold "Green" and "Blue" for four strums. Release "Green" and strum "Blue" and "Green" once only, then release these buttons and hold "Red" only for three strums. Strum "Red" and "Blue" once, then another three strums on "Red" only. Repeat the single strum of "Red" and "Blue" followed by the triple strum of "Red." If you have input the cheat correctly, you will see the message, "Bret Michaels Unlocked."

Unlock All Songs

• To unlock all songs for Michaels, or any other character, to perform in "Quick Play" mode, select "Enter Cheat" from the "Cheats" menu. Strum single strums on "Yellow" and "Orange," then "Red" and "Blue," then "Red" and "Orange, then "Green" and "Blue," "Red" and "Yellow," "Yellow" and "Orange," "Red" and "Yellow," "Red" and "Blue." Make double strums on "Green" and "Yellow," "Yellow" and "Blue," and "Yellow" and "Orange." Finish up with single strums on "Yellow" and "Blue," then "Yellow," then "Red," then "Red" and "Yellow," then "Red," "Yellow," then "Orange." A message will confirm that you have unlocked all songs.

Hyperspeed Mode

• To unlock the challenging "Hyperspeed" mode for Michaels and all other characters, select "Enter Cheat" again. Perform single strums on "Orange," "Blue," "Orange," "Yellow," "Orange," "Blue," "Orange" and finally "Yellow." You will receive the message "Hyperspeed Mode Unlocked."

Through the Fire and the Flames

• The ultimate challenge in "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" is power-metal supergroup Dragonforce's speed-rock opus, "Through the Fire and the Flames." To unlock this song for Bret Michaels and all other characters to try their hand at within all game modes, focus on completing the game's "Story" mode. Once you have completed all songs, the challenging "Through the Fire and the Flames" will be unlocked for all game modes.
