Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Vehicle of Death Cheats for the PS2

While there are plenty of weapons you can use to wreak havoc in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, it can be much more entertaining to use the plethora of available vehicles to cause destruction. Below you can find some cheat codes and strategies that will help you to maximize the destructive potential of Vice City's vehicles.

These cheat codes must be entered during gameplay and, after you enter a code correctly, a confirmation message will appear.

The Rhino Tank
- While there is no cheat code in Vice City that gives your current vehicle the attributes of a tank, there is still a cheat code you can use to spawn a Rhino tank. This massive machine will cause any vehicle it hits to explode, making it almost completely unstoppable. While the turret can also be used to destroy vehicles, an even more destructive use for it is to aim the turret backward while you are traveling forward and continuously fire the turret. Doing so will propel you forward, allowing you to reach higher speeds. Be sure that you have a long stretch of straight road to do this on, however, because it will be very difficult to turn.
  
  While you can get a Rhino by earning five wanted stars during the game and then taking a Rhino from the national guard, it is far easier to use a cheat code. If you are playing on the PlayStation 2, you can use the cheat code "Circle," "Circle," "L1," "Circle," "Circle," "Circle," "L1," "L2," "R1," "Triangle," "Circle," "Triangle" to get the Rhino. If your console is an Xbox, use the code "B," "B," "L," "B," "B," "B," "L," "White," "R," "Y," "B," "Y." Finally, if you are playing the PC version of Vice City, you can use the cheat code "panzer."
Cars Explode
- You can immediately turn all of the cars around you, including the vehicle you are in, into exploding death traps with this cheat code. You may want to start a traffic jam before using this cheat in order to gather a large number of cars and thus maximize the explosion. For the PlayStation 2, use the cheat code "R2," "L2," "R1," "L1," "L2," "R2," "Square," "Triangle," "Circle," "Triangle," "L2," "L1." For the Xbox, use the cheat code "Black," "White," "R," "L," "White," "Black," "X," "Y," "B," "Y," "White," "L." For the PC, use the cheat code "bigbang."
8-Ball's Bombs
- There is one final way you can wreak havoc using vehicles: remote detonated car bombs. You can have any vehicle outfitted with a car bomb at one of 8-Ball's bomb shops. Perhaps one of the best places to use one of these weapons is a busy intersection, where you can set off a chain reaction of exploding cars. Car bombs are also an effective way to get back at a hijacker who has just stolen your vehicle.
