God of War II Controller Cheats

Hack and slash it up all over again with the sequel to the blockbuster 2005 Playstation 2 game, "God of War II." Once again, you play as Kratos as you work your way through another dose of puzzle-solving, combat, platforming and much more. Show your enemies who's boss with your Athena blades or grapple to hook points. But of course, what fun would this all be without some helpful cheat codes and hints? Unlock secret costumes, weapons, different game modes, FMV clips and more in this guide.

Unlockable Cheats
- High Definition Mode:
  Enter this cheat any time prior to the screen where the words, "Sony Computer Entertainment Presents," appears. If you have entered the cheat successfully, the words will turn purple. Press "L1," "L2," "L3," "Circle" and "Square" all at once.
  
  In-Game FMV Clips:
  If you beat the entire game, you will unlock the in-game FMV clips for "High Resolution" and "Story Format."
  
  Challenge of the Titans Mode:
  Beat the game on whichever difficulty level you prefer and this will unlock a section in your game menu called "Treasures" where there will be seven challenges.
  
  Arena of the Fates Mode:
  This is a practice mode which allows you to try out various abilities, magic and test fights with enemies. Obtain a Titan rank during the Challenge of the Titans mode; you will then unlock the cheat in your "Treasures" section.
  
  Titan Difficulty Mode:
  Beat the game on whichever difficulty you prefer.
  
  Costumes and Weapons:
  To collect these items, you must beat the game on the said difficulty levels.
  1) Dark Odyssey: Beat the game on God mode.
  2) Athena: Beat the game on Titan mode.
  3) Hydra Armor: Beat the game on whichever difficulty level you prefer.
  4) Blade of Olympus: Beat the game and start a new game.
  5) Hercules: Beat the game on Titan mode.
  6) God of War costume: Beat the game on whichever difficulty level you wish.
  7) God Armor: Obtain a God rank during Challenge mode.
  8) General Kratos: Obtain 20 Cyclops eyes by eliminating them with a context-sensitive combo move.
Easter Eggs
- Work your way up to a 999,999 hit combination and a secret website (Islandofrhodes.org) will be unveiled. As you reach closer to 999,999, you will see the words, "Your destiny awaits" on the screen, followed by "The secret is near" and "Almost there."
Secrets
- Bonus Play:
  Once you have completed the game, save it and then start a new one. Select "Bonus Play." You will now start a new game with all of the weapons and magic abilities that you finished the previous game with. Bare in mind, bonus play is only available if you start a new game on the same difficulty level that you beat the previous game with.
  
  Sex Mini-Game:
  During the area of Rhodes in the game, you will come across a bath house location. Do not dive down; instead, get out of the water and there will be two breakable screens in the area surrounding the pool. Two topless women await behind them. Simply walk up to them and press "Circle." A sex mini-game will begin where you will perform a series of button actions prompted by the screen. Upon winning this mini-game, you will be rewarded a grand dose of red and green orbs.
