  Attach the PS2 component cables to the back of your PlayStation 2. Insert the five colored plugs of the cable into colored ports of your HDTV.

  Insert the "God of War" game into your PS2 and power on the console.

  Scroll through the options on the main menu using the directional pad on your controller. Highlight "Options" and press "X."

  Adjust the "Widescreen" setting to "On" for the game to better fit the dimensions of your HDTV.

  Scroll down to the second option listed as "Progressive Scan" and change the setting to "On." You will be prompted to confirm this setting. Select "Yes" and press "X" to continue. The game will switch to high definition.
