• One of the more challenging parts of Vice City is not only completing the missions that come up during the course of normal play, but also finding all the hidden extras like the hidden packages, the stunt jump locations and the locations of stores that will help you in your efforts.

Cheat Codes

• Like other popular games, Vice City has a large selection of codes that when entered give much-needed assistance to the player. There are codes that improve health, armor or weapons, and other codes that can manifest a particular vehicle or person. There is also the important cheat of lowering a player's wanted level in order to successfully evade the police.

  The most powerful vehicle is a Rhino tank. This tank can shoot a cannon and is able to destroy objects by simply running into them. During game play enter the following code to have a Rhino appear in front of you: Circle, Circle, L1, Circle, Circle, Circle, L1, L2, R1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle.

  To improve your health, input this code at any time during game play: R1, R2, L1, Circle, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up. After you use this code, your character will have full health.

  If you are in need of extra armor, enter this code: R1, R2, L1, X, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.

  If you do enough damage during the game, the police will come and try to arrest you. Getting arrested really hampers the flow of the game because you'll lose any mission you're currently working on and all of your weapons and body armor will be confiscated. To lower your wanted level by two stars, enter the following code at any time during regular game play: R1, R1, Circle, R2, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down.

  There are three different codes for three separate groups of weapons. After you input one of the codes during game play, you will have each weapon with full ammunition. The first code will get you a group of standard weapons, and a chainsaw: R1, R2, L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up. The next code will allow your character to have a group of weapons that includes an Uzi and a flame thrower: R2, R2, R1, R2, L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up. The final weapons code will give you a collection of weapons that includes a rocket launcher and a katana blade: R1, R2, L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Down, Left. Each time you enter a new weapon code, your old weapon selection will be replaced with a new selection.
