How to Load JAP Games on PS2

The Sony Playstation 2 was released in America in 2001. The American version of this console is only equipped to play discs created in America. This means that any international game discs will not operate in the American version of the Playstation 2.In order to get around this issue, an HD Loader must be used to save the files to the Playstation 2. A fairly simple process that requires just the right instruction.

Things You'll Need

HD Loader Disc
Japanese Playstation 2 game disc

Instructions

  Eject any Playstation 2 Disc or DVD from the Playstation 2 optical drive.

  Insert the HD Loader Disc. Once inserted the main menu will appear displaying the installation information. The software should start automatically.

  Click Install from the main menu. The HD Loader disc will now be ejected.

  Insert Japanese Playstation 2 game disc. Once inserted the game will now automatically be backed up to the Playstation 2 hard drive.

  Remove the Playstation 2 game disc once the back up process is complete.

  Insert the HD Loader Disc in the Playstation 2. The main menu will display options allowing you to select from a list of games that have been saved to the hard drive.

  Click "Play" from the HD Loader main menu. The game will begin to load.
