How to Get the Fist of Ruin in Shaolin Monks

"Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks" departs from the traditional one-on-one fighting of the "Mortal Kombat" series and instead puts the characters Liu Kang and Kung Lao in a joint adventure. Throughout the game, they gain various abilities to overcome obstacles and reach new locations. One of the first special abilities learned in the game is the Fist of Ruin, a powerful attack that can break cursed statues and boulders.

Instructions

  Go to the Portal after completing the Wushi Academy portion of the game.

  Navigate to the Evil Monastery; the words "Evil Monastery" will appear when the characters are near the appropriate portal.

  Make your way up the Tower. You will fight a brainwashed Princess Kitana, along with Mileena and Jade.

  Focus your efforts on Kitana. The object of this fight is to remove the brainwashing. Bring her health down and throw her into the machine in the center of the arena. Keep Mileena and Jade away from the control mechanisms. Once Kitana is out of the fight, defeat Mileena first, and then Jade. After the fight, pick up the Tournament Victory medallion to get the Fist of Ruin. To use the Fist of Ruin, press the button used for a power attack: "Circle" on the PS2 version, "B" on the XBox version.
