How to Rip Games From PS2 Discs

Copying, backing up, or ripping PlayStation 2 games will allow you to always have a copy at hand. In case of accidental damage, or frequent use which may cause damage, creating a backup will never cause anger or extra costs ever again. No need to worry if you ever lose one of your favorite PS2 games; a backup can be created on your computer for easy burning. Simply copy, burn, and play.

Instructions

    • 1

Download CloneCD or a similar software that will allow you to copy a PS2 game, back it up, and burn it to a disc. Blindwrite, Alcohol 120%, Nero, or any other software that allows ISO reading and burning can be used to copy the game to your computer.

    • 2

Start CloneCD, and select the "CopyCD" option. Select the computer's disk drive, which will be reading the PS2 disc you want to copy or rip. Press "Next."

    • 3

Select "Game CD," since you will be copying a PS2 video game disc.

    • 4

Choose any options or features you'd like to include, such as "on the fly," "cue," or "delete." Press "Next." "On the fly" will speed up the copying/burning process, but you unfortunately you'll be risking the size of the file or information on the file. "Cue" will allow you to cue a copying or burning process --- you'll be able to start it right away or start it later. "Delete" of course will allow you to delete the file.

    • 5

Select the drive that will be writing the PS2 game to the new disc. Press "OK" to begin the ripping/copying process.
