How to Edit the PES 2009 PS2

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, or PES 2009, is a soccer simulation game with many clubs, leagues, and international teams available for players to select from. The PES 2009 game was developed by Konami Corp. and is available for PC and the PlayStation 2 game console. You can insert the PS2 edition of the game into your home computer to modify game content using a freeware editing program from the Internet. Editing your PES 2009 PS2 data on your PC will take about 15 minutes.

  Turn on your computer and open a web browser. Navigate to the PES 2009 PS2 Editor download page (see Resources section) and download the application. Run the program once the download finishes.

  Eject your PC disc tray and insert the PES 2009 PS2 game disc, then close the tray. In the PES 2009 PS2 Editor program, select "Open PES 2009 PS2 Disc" and the program will present you with a list of available editing options. Select player names to change, captains or squads you wish to switch, and any emblems or flags you wish to insert different graphics for. Click "Save Edits" and the program will alter the selected files.

  Close the program once the edits finish, then eject the PES 2009 PS2 disc and close the tray. Shut down the computer and turn on the PS2. Insert your PES 2009 PS2 game and begin playing to verify your edits. You can change or undo your edits at any time using the PES 2009 PS2 disc and the editing program.
