How to Freeze Time in God of War

"God of War 2," released originally for the Playstation 2 and then re-released for the Playstation 3, puts players in the role of Kratos, out for revenge against Zeus and his pantheon of Greek gods. Kratos will need plenty of weapons and tools at his disposal in order to defeat the gods of Olympus, and one such tool is the "Amulet of Fate." This amulet, given to you automatically as the story progresses, allows you to slow down time, almost to the point of freezing it.

     Locate a Fate statue. This statue is depicted as a winged woman holding a green crystal over her head.

     Approach the statue. As you near the statue, the green crystal will start to shine. You may only use the Amulet of Fate near this statue when the crystal shines.

   • 3

     Press "R1" and "L1" on your controller at the same time. Time will slow down to a near standstill.
