Jaws Unleashed
"Jaws Unleashed" allows you to play the legendary great white shark made famous by Stephen Spielberg's movie "Jaws." The environment in the game is reminiscent of the movie and the game takes place in the same locations. The designers of the game used intelligence engines and dismemberment engines to enhance game-play by employing enemies that adapt to how the player is manipulating the controls of the shark. The dismemberment engine enhances combat by providing multiple points of disconnection which create realistic fatalities and injuries. It is possible to follow the plot built into the game or freely roam the gaming environment. Throughout the game are multitudes of side missions and challenges.
Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure
"Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure" offers multi-player capabilities that allow the players to control six prehistoric sea monsters in their daily battles of survival against the elements and other monsters. The game is divided between six worlds which you unlock by completing tasks. Each different sea monster has strengths and weaknesses, especially in regard to the six worlds they travel and hunt through. In each of the worlds are side quests and challenges specific to each monster. The plot of the video game is non-linear, which allows you to navigate freely throughout the six worlds. The video game is also educational, since you unlock National Geographic media by finding fossils.
Shadow of the Colossus
"The Shadow of the Colossus" is a one-person adventure that covers the journeys of a youth traveling through an ancient world trying to discover dark secrets about a mystical power. The youth must defeat "Colossi," which are large creatures that you beat by puzzle solving and action-oriented game play. Two of the 16 Colossi in the game are sea monsters like the kraken of ancient nautical lore. The environment in which you fight these sea monsters is especially challenging since your character is in the open sea.
