Cy Girls
Released in March 2004, "Cy Girls" is a 3D action-adventure for the Playstation 2 that demonstrates that girls can fight and hold their own. The game, created by popular game developer Konami, is based on a line of Japanese action figures. Players can take on the role of one of two female protagonists: Ice or Aska. Each character possesses her own skill set; Aska is skilled in the martial arts, where Ice is a master of weapons. Players travel around the globe in an attempt to thwart an evil computer wizard, fighting enemies and hacking computers to access computer-generated battlegrounds.
The Powerpuff Girls: Relish Rampage
Based on the popular Cartoon Network series, "The Powerpuff Girls: Relish Rampage" hit U.S. store shelves in November 2002. Published by BAM! Entertainment, "The Powerpuff Girls: Relish Rampage" is an action-adventure game. Players guide Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup through a 3D version of the City of Townsville made to look just like it does in the cartoon. Along the way, players battle aliens, as well as bad guys from the series like Mojo Jojo, Fuzzy Lumpkin and Him. "The Powerpuff Girls: Relish Rampage" incorporates gameplay elements like escort, delivery, fighting, race, and protection.
Bratz: Rock Angelz
"Bratz: Rock Angelz" is an action-adventure game for the Playstation 2 based on the popular line of dolls and movie of the same name. Developed by Blitz Games, "Bratz: Rock Angelz" features gameplay in an isometric perspective, like the "Sims" series. Players control one of four Bratz dolls: Sasha, Jasmin, Chloe or Jade. In a search for scoops for a fashion magazine, players travel to Bratz City and international locales like London, and interact with other dolls in the Bratz toy line. Along the way, players can customize their character's hair, makeup and wardrobe in various mini-games.
