Sony's PlayStation 2 console was released in 2000 in the United States, and it boasts many different genres of games. MX games, or motocross games, are among those available for the PlayStation 2. MX games allow players to simulate motorcycle races and stunt competitions without the danger of getting hurt in the process.
  1. "MX vs. ATV Unleashed"

    • THQ released the motocross video game "MX vs. ATV Unleashed" for the PlayStation 2, PC and Xbox in March 2005. "MX vs. ATV Unleashed" was developed by Rainbow Studios and is rated suitable for gamers of all ages. Rather than focus solely on motocross events, players can choose to race their bikes against all-terrain vehicles. Players can compete on indoor or outdoor courses, and they can try their hand at single races or compete in multiple race events.

    "MX Superfly"

    • THQ released "MX Superfly" for the PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Microsoft Xbox in June 2002. Developed by Pacific Coast P and L, "MX Superfly" is rated appropriate for gamers of any age. Players are challenged to create their own motocross competitor that can take on others in races or stunt challenges. Players must win events in order to advance forward to new stages. New items are unlocked once players earn money by placing high in events.

    "MX 2002 Featuring Ricky Carmichael"

    • THQ released the motocross title "MX 2002 Featuring Ricky Carmichael" for the PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance and Xbox in July 2001. The game is rated acceptable for players of all ages and was created by Pacific Coast P and L. As players get better, they unlock new motorcycles that allow them to ride faster and perform new tricks. Players can create their own riders and even handle personal details such as their appearance and company sponsorship.

    "MX Unleashed"

    • THQ released "MX Unleashed" for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in February 2002. Developed by Rainbow Studios, "MX Unleashed" is rated appropriate for all ages of players. The game can be played with either one or two racers. Players accumulate points for performing tricks and groups of tricks in the game. During the races in "MX Unleashed," players must navigate their way through hills and obstacles to reach the finish line before the other riders.
