How do I Play PS2 DVD-ROM Games on a PC?

There is a way of playing your PlayStation 2 (PS2) games on a PC. Computers cannot normally decode the program used by PlayStation 2, but you can use it on a PC after modifying the game contents. You will need something called an "emulator," which acts as an interpreter for your PC. These emulators are free online and available for anyone to download. Once installed, you can play any PS2 DVD-ROM games on a PC.

Emulator program
PS2 disc
Computer with disc drive

Instructions

  Download an emulator program (see Resources). Install it to your PC by following the directions on your screen.

  Reboot your PC to save the changes.

  Open the PC disc drive and insert the PS2 disc. Wait up to one minute for your computer to recognize the game.

  Double-click on the emulator program icon to open it.

  Choose "Open" on the main menu and click on the name of your PS2 disc. Wait for the game to load, and then start playing.
