How Can I Put PS2 Games Onto PSP?

Sony continually updates their PlayStation platforms, which leaves some users frustrated when newer games don't work on their old systems. Sony has recently introduced a new firmware that, in addition to giving you the ability to watch TV episodes and movies on your PSP through your home wireless Internet connection, also allows users to play PS2 games on their PSP systems. In addition to the new firmware, you'll need a Sony PSX system to upload the PS2 games.

Instructions

      Install the Sony Location Free Base system on your computer and PSP system. Set the Sony Location Free Base system to "AP mode." Follow the setup wizard and a connection will be established between your PSP system and your Sony Location Free Base system.

      Select the icon labeled "Location Free Player" from your PSP system's home screen. The basic setting screen will appear on your PSP system.

      Press the "Setup Mode" button on the front of your Sony Location Free Base system to register your PSP system. One the PSP is registered, the screen will read "Set Completed." Press "X" to continue the installation. Select "Location Free AP" on the next screen. To use Location Free options, press the triangle-shaped button on your PSP system.

      Use a USB cable to connect your Sony PSX to your Sony Location Free Base system. Power on your Sony PSX and insert the PS2 game of your choice. Upload the PS2 game to the hard drive on your Sony PSX.

      Choose "PSX" from the cross media bar of your PSP system. Select the game that you uploaded to your PSX hard drive from the drop-down menu to play it on your PSP.
