How to Get Past the Tutorial on Jaws Unleashed

You can't skip the tutorial section of the video game "Jaws Unleashed." The game is set up so you, the player, controls the shark. The goal is to destroy or eat as many things as possible. The tutorial is considered level one of the game and consists of nine sections, each beginning when you swim through the white swirl. Find the swirls by constantly swimming south. There are collectible items to pick up in the tutorial section, and if you complete all nine sections you get a 10,000 point bonus.

Instructions

  Swim south (press "X") toward the first white swirl where you'll get details about the bonus.

  Swim through the next swirl. You learn that pressing "R1" allows you to bite prey. Prey appears on the HUD radar as yellow dots. Consuming prey will refill your hunger and health meters.

  Swim through the third swirl. You'll learn holding "L1" charges your "head butt" attack. Release "L1" to unleash it. This attack can be used to sink boats. The bigger the boat, the more times you have to hit it. Eventually, the boat sinks and the pilot appears in the water as your prey.

  Swim through the next swirl. You'll learn that holding "L2" will charge the tail whip attack. This charged attack is useful against underwater objects. Use it on the dive cage in order to proceed. Avoid getting shot by the diver inside with the spear gun.

  Swim through the next swirl. The small ROV on the bottom of the ocean is making you hungry and if your green "hunger bar" empties entirely, you'll begin to lose health. If there are other sharks around, the seaseeker will make them hungry and aggressive. Destroy the "seaseeker" ROV by using either of your charged attacks.

  Swim through the next swirl (just under the surface.) Press the "Triangle" button to activate shark vision, an alternate vision mode that highlights enemies and possible prey. Swim through the small crevice between two rocks to find the next tutorial.

  Destroy the dive cage and eat the diver. The new red dot which appears on your radar is a small seaseeker the diver dropped. Destroy it. Pass through the cave that opens up afterwards.

  Go toward the red circles on your HUD (swimmers). Perform the special attacks as instructed. If the swimmers escape, you will not receive the XP point bonus at the end of the tutorial.

  Swim toward the red circles on your radar then through what will be the final swirl. Destroy the pier supports using any attack you want, and eventually the pier collapses. Destroy the rafts that come to attack you and eat the hunters.
