How Do I Beat God of War 2?

The 2007 Sony PlayStation 2 action-video game God of War II is a direct sequel to the first God of War game. Players return to the role of the warrior Kratos, who became the new "God of War" after dethroning Ares in the first game. In God of War II, Kratos embarks on a new quest that ends with an epic battle against Zeus, "the King of the Gods," in an area called the "Summit of Sacrifice."

Instructions

- 1
  Zeus begins the battle as a giant who sends Sirens to fight you. When circles appear over the Sirens' heads, use the "Circle" button to attack them, which will in turn weaken Zeus.

  Press "Circle" when the circle symbol appears over Zeus's head. He will decrease size and attempt to throw lightning bolts at you. Use the "Golden Fleece," pressing "Square" to send the attacks back at Zeus.

  Continue hitting Zeus. Soon enough he will take your sword. Hit him from a distance with attacks like "Cronos's Rage" or "Rage of the Titans."

  Continue fighting. A circle will appear over Zeus's head, allowing you to take back the sword. Continue fighting him until he takes your sword again.

  This time Zeus will be surrounded by protective orbs. Use attacks like "Cronos's Rage," "Rage of the Titans" and "Prometheus's Torment." When the circle symbol appears again, press "Circle" followed by R1 when the screen prompts you to. This will make Kratos take the sword back and drop a pillar on Zeus.

  Zeus will return to god form. Follow the random on-screen prompts to press the correct button to finally defeat Zeus.

  Go back through the halls and pull on the rope to change the images on the faraway mirror. When a timer appears on screen, press "L1" and "R1" to use the "Amulet of Fates."

  Jump through the mirror to end the game.
