24: The Game
24: The Game is based on the TV show "24," starring Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer, a special agent working for the Los Angeles division of the Counter-Terrorist Unit (CTU.) The game takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of the show, and is a third-person shooter that also includes driving and interrogation sequences along with an assortment of mini-game scenarios. You play as Jack for much of the game, but also spend levels as Tony Almeda, Chase Edmunds and even Jack's daughter, Kim. The show's actors all voice their own characters in the game. Sony reports that there are no problems with this game on the PS3.
WWE: Smackdown! vs. Raw 2008
While some previous incarnations of the Smackdown vs. Raw franchise have reported problems converting onto the PS3, Sony reports that the 2008 version plays fine on PS3. The game features over 50 characters from from the Raw, Smackdown and ECW superstar rosters. Instead of the previous Storyline or Career mode, the game features a 24/7 mode which functions as more of a role-playing system where you add to your wrestler's attributes by achieving various goals during your matches. The game also introduced a new "fighting style" system where each wrestler is assigned fighting styles that give them unique special abilities in addition to their finishing moves.
Star Wars: Battlefront II
While the initial PS3 had problems playing Battlefront II in Network mode, subsequent software upgrades fixed the glitch. Battlefront II is a third-person shooter that takes players into the midst of a galactic war as they control a number of different soldiers and characters from the "Star Wars" universe. The game allows play as both the Empire and the Jedi sides, and also includes vehicle combat and space battles. Players can also earn the right to play as famous characters from the series like Yoda and Darth Vader.
