How to Destroy the Inside of the Statue in God of War 2 for the PS2

Begin the battle by having Kratos make his way inside the Colossus. Free the Blade of Olympus and begin the battle. Attack the arm that the giant has resting on the cliff. While doing this, be sure to block any sweeping attacks that may occur. After blocking, continue to work on the arm until the Colossus is stunned. Press the circle button near the statue while it is stunned to allow Kratos to enter the Colossus.

Destroy enemies in the Colossus while ascending the spiral platforms. As Kratos makes his way up, he will need to attack various weak points in the structure. These areas are highlighted by a blue glow, which is dangerous and will cause damage if touched. When a glowing point is discovered, Kratos must make his way to the point using a central walkway. Press "R1" to attack the structure.

Look for a horizontal rope further along the walkway. Climb the rope and look for a wooden beam that will lead Kratos to another vulnerable structure point on the left. Use regular attacks on the pillar in the middle in order to break the chains. After the chains are broken, use the Blade of Olympus (R1 button) to attack the structure.

Find a spot along the outer wall that will allow Kratos to climb up to the next platform. Defeat any enemies present in this location. Move to the left along the round platform, press "R1" to duck the glowing beams. Once the central pillar is reached, destroy the chains and press "R1" to stab the weak point. Once this portion of the battle is done, there will be a small movie, then back to the fight.

Have Kratos climb the wall to the left of the rope before beginning the upward climb. Retrieve the Gorgon Eye from the chest and head back to the rope. Climb upward to the head of the Colossus of Rhodes.

Find the ladder to the right that leads to a lever. Pull the lever in order to drop a large pendulum. Activate the pendulum by striking it at the bottom. It will take several blows with the sword to get it going. Climb back up the ladder and pull the lever once again to raise the pendulum. Once the pendulum intercepts the blue beams coming from the eyes of the Colossus, Kratos can continue climbing the horizontal rope.

Move up along the structure and find the final weak point of the structure. Once the chains have been broken, stab the pillar using the Blade of Olympus, again by pressing the R1 button. As the structure begins to crumble, make a fast exit toward the mouth of the Colossus.
