How to Collect Money From Parking Meters on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," one of the most popular video games of all time, places the player in a Florida city amazingly similar to Miami. Playing as Tommy Vercetti, gamers have an almost endless array of criminal acts to choose from. You can carry out a random carjacking of a little old lady, lob grenades into crowded streets, or plow through bikini-clad pedestrians on the beach. Money, however, is essential to your rising criminal character. You can try some quick robberies, but smashing parking meters may be the easiest way to get easy money.

Cashing in on Smashed Meters

  Procure a vehicle and head for the downtown part of Vice City. You will see parking meters lining the streets.

  Steer your vehicle into the parking meters and knock them over. This will automatically break the meters, and just driving over them will give all of the money to you. After you've smashed the meters, just drive away.

  Return to the same location a short time later and you'll see the meters have been restored. Simply run over them once again and you will receive more money. Repeat the process as many times as you like.
Easy Money Alternatives in Vice City

  Go to the Northpoint Mall in Vice City and wait for a cop to begin scuffling with a gang member. Step in and fight the gang member yourself. This works best if you're using only your fists. Be careful not to hit the cop. Every time you land a punch, the gang member will drop some money.

  Go to Little Haiti and rob the Ryton Aid pharmacy. Hold your gun on the clerk until you have three wanted stars. Drop your gun and take the money. Hop in your car and drive the nearby Pay 'n Spray. This will reduce your wanted level.

  Go to The Gap, next to the CD store in Vice City. You will be able to hold up the clerk in the CD store. Hold him at gunpoint until you have one star. He will set off an alarm. At this point, grab the money and run to The Gap. Change your clothes to reduce your wanted level. Repeat the process. You can also rob the clerk at The Gap.
