How to Connect Guitar Hero World Tour to the PS2

Guitar Hero World Tour for the PlayStation 2 allows up to four players to band together and rock out to some of their favorite songs. You take charge of drums, bass, guitar or vocals using controllers specially designed to simulate musical instruments. Because the PlayStation 2 only has two controller ports, setting up Guitar Hero World Tour can be initially confusing. Fortunately, the setup is straightforward and only takes a few minutes.

Things You'll Need

Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit (includes all instruments)
Guitar Hero wired guitar (optional)

Instructions

  Insert the wireless receiver into the first USB port on the console; this is included with the Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit.

  Plug your PlayStation 2 controller into the first controller port on your PlayStation 2 console. This is used by the player using the microphone.

  Insert the USB end of the microphone into one of the USB ports on the wireless receiver.

  Plug the USB cable from the drums into the other USB port on the wireless receiver.

  Insert Guitar Hero World Tour for the PlayStation 2 into your PlayStation 2 console and power it "On."

  Put batteries into all the peripherals that require batteries (wireless guitar and drums). If you're using a wired guitar controller, plug this into the second controller port on the console. The wired guitar is not included in the Band Kit.

  Turn on the wireless guitar and drums by pressing the red button on the guitar and the "PS" button on the drums.

  Sync and calibrate the wireless guitar and drums to the system by pressing the button on the wireless receiver after turning on the instruments.
