Technically, it is impossible to transfer games from a PS2 to a PC, but that is only because Playstation 2 games are not actually stored on the PS2. Transferring the games from their CDs to the PC, however, is not only possible, it is relatively simple with the correct tools. This is a perfectly viable option for those who want to create backups of their favorite games or play them on the computer via a Playstation 2 emulator.

Turn on your computer and insert the PS2 game disk into the DVD-R/RW drive.

If you have not already, download and install IMGburn (see a link in "Resources"). This is a tool used for burning and copying most types of CD- and DVD-based media.

Launch IMGburn.

Select "Create image file from disc."

In the "Destination" section, select where on your computer you wish to save the copy of the game.

Click the "Read" button. The game will now be copied to your hard drive as an ISO file.
