Cleaning
Take a lint free cloth or a tissue and gently rub from the center of the disc to the outside of the disc.
Using a small amount of rubbing alcohol instead of water if the disc still doesn't work.
Allow the disc to air dry.
Make sure the disc is clean before trying to fix any scratches.
Fixing the Scratch
Put a little warm water on the disc and apply a little baking soda toothpaste.
Rub in straight lines over the scratched area, from the center of the disc to the edge of the disc. Do not rub in circles. 10-15 swipes should be sufficient.
Rinse off the toothpaste and air dry the disc.
