Controls
In the game, you alternately control each of the four Bratz. You move them around with the left analog stick and move the camera with the right analog stick. The arrow buttons are used to scroll through items in the inventory of the Bratz. The "Square" button is used to zoom in while taking pictures with the cell phone's built in camera or give a burst of speed while wearing roller blades. The "Circle" button on the controller is used to bring out the camera phone or make the Bratz to slow down while roller blading. The "X" button takes a camera phone snapshot or accepts menu options and allows you to skip cut scenes you have already seen. The "Triangle" button cancels menu options, the "Start" button pauses the game, and the "R1" and "R2" triggers are used to put on roller blades or stabilize the camera view.
Items
The Bratz can find or make a variety of items in the game. One of the most important are the Blingz tokens, which you can use to buy outfits and fashion accessories for your Bratz and their pets. You can also purchase new hairstyles and pet snacks called Treatz. The 100 Bratz tokens, not to be confused with Blingz tokens, can be used to buy concept art for the game as an added bonus.
Multiplayer Mini-Games
There are three multiplayer mini-games that you can play with a friend after you plug in the second player's controller. They include Pairz, a card match game, a dress up game called Change outfits and Top Trumps, a card game where players must outguess their opponent to collect all 26 cards.
Game Advice
The many mini-games scattered throughout "Bratz: Forever Diamond" are a good way to earn Blingz tokens. Before you leave each city on your Bratz tour across America, be sure that you have done everything in that city that you want to do. You will not be able to return to that city after you have left it.
Secret Codes
If the game is too difficult, or you just want to see all the special outfits that can be unlocked, there are some cheat codes you can enter into the computer to help you out. If you enter SIZZLN, you'll be rewarded with 1,000 Blingz tokens. STYLIN, SKATIN, JEWELZ and DIMNDZ will each unlock a special, secret outfit for your Bratz, and TREATZ will instantly give you 25 snack treats for your pets.
