How to Get Cheap Fast Cars in Gran Turismo 4

Gran Turismo is one of the standout racing games available for the PlayStation 2. It's got an incredible variety of both cars and tracks and its racing physics are so realistic that some actual race car drivers use it to train for certain courses. Although the game's depth may turn you away initially, there are a few easy ways you can get cheap, fast cars early on in the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Work through the license tests until you've obtained the International A License. Doing this gets you the Nismo 270R '94, a reliable workhorse that'll get you through many of the game's races.

    • 2

Head into the Special Conditions Hall and enter the first race there. It's a simple rally around Capri and winning should be a snap.

    • 3

Return to your garage once you've won and check out your new Cadillac Cien. Since the car is free for winning the first Capri rally, it's basically the cheapest super car you can find in the game.

    • 4

Enter your Nismo and Cien into any races they're qualified to enter. Most of these are in the Beginner Hall. Winning any of these races is easy, especially with the Nismo and you'll quickly rack up some serious cash.

    • 5

Purchase all the available upgrades for your Nismo. With its engine, brakes, tires and transmission maxed out, the Nismo can take on most turbo-class races.

    • 6

Enter the Nismo in the El Capitan 200 once you've completed 25 percent of the game. Winning this race gets you the Minolta Toyota 88C-V race car, a super-fast ride that can out-pace every other car in the game, except the Formula One.
