How to Get The In Water Ending In Silent Hill 2

This ending is normally not the first you see when playing "Silent Hill 2" unless you play very careless and destructively. To have a better chance of getting this ending at the close of the game there are steps you must go through. Also, you should do things to avoid the Maria ending to help encourage this ending.

  Examine the knife you got from Angela in your Inventory to get a more in depth look at the knife and a small portion of the story.

  Go and listen to the conversation through the headphones at the Nightmare Hotel in the Reading Room to get a better insight into how things began.

  Do not use your health items at once, even if you are badly damaged or low on health. Run through a couple of rooms like this several times in the game and read the diary on the hospital roof.

  Know that if you don’t hear the sick bed conversation with Mary when you go through the last hallway, you already did enough to make sure you get this ending.
