SingStar Queen Cheats

There are many different variations of "SingStar," a karaoke franchise developed by Sony, with each game focusing on a particular genre or musical artist such as "SingStar Queen." While there are no cheats for this game, there are a few tips you can keep in mind as you sing.
  1. Singstar

    • First released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004, the rules of "SingStar" are simple: pick a song and use the included mic to sing along. Players can earn points based on how well they match the song's pitch. Each song displays the lyrics on the bottom of the screen while the official music video for the song plays in the background. "SingStar" is not only a single player game; it supports up to eight players depending on the game. While the original "SingStar" release includes a variety of tracks from different genres, players can purchase additional games that focus on a particular genre, such as "SingStar Country," or a particular artist such as "SingStar Abba" and "SingStar Queen."

    Singstar Queen

    • "SingStar Queen" was released simultaneously for both the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 in 2009. "SingStar Queen" features only songs by the musical group Queen. Both versions include 20 songs, featuring hits like "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Another One Bites The Dust," while the PlayStation 3 version features five additional and exclusive songs such as "Killer Queen." The objective of "SingStar Queen" is the same as any other "SingStar" game: match the pitch of the song to score as many points as possible.

    Learn the Song

    • To maximize the amount of points you can earn, the first thing you should do is learn each song. Play through each song a few times, memorizing the lyrics and the changes in pitch. Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury was known for his wide vocal range, which could change suddenly in a song. Many of Queen's songs differ from each other in both style and genre, with some being fast-paced rock songs, such as "Bohemian Rhapsody," while other songs are slower and more experimental, such as "Killer Queen" and "Radio Ga Ga." Once you have learned the nuances of each song, it will be easier to score a high amount of points.

    Humming

    • If some songs end up being too difficult even after practice, or you just want an easy way to score a large amount of points, it's possible to hum all of the songs in the game. You aren't scored on how well you sing the actual lyrics, but how close you are to the pitch. Thus, by humming a song you can easily hit the correct pitch with reliable accuracy. However, doing this takes the challenge out of the game so only use this as a last resort.
