How to Unlock Friend Packs in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Beginning of Destiny

In "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: The Beginning of Destiny" for the PlayStation 2, you can get more cards to use in your deck by unlocking card packs that you can then purchase in the game. Seven of these packs are friend packs. You can only have one friend pack unlocked at a time. To unlock a friend pack, you need to have the highest relationship level with the friend whose pack you want to unlock.

Instructions

  Talk to Jaden, Sho Marufuji, Chumley, Tenjoin Asuka, Manjoume Jun, Daichi Misawa or Zane, depending on which friend's pack of cards you want to unlock. You need to have good or great conversations with the friend to increase your relationship level with that friend. The conversations with each character tend to repeat. If you don't get the desired outcome, choose different options the next time. Talk to the friend repeatedly to further increase the relationship level.

  Defeat the friend in duels a minimum of five times. Even if you have the highest relationship level with the friend, you cannot unlock the associated friend pack until you beat the friend five times.

  Give the friend sandwiches to further increase your relationship level with him. You can purchase sandwiches at the in-game store.

  Visit the in-game store to purchase the friend pack you want. The friend pack for the friend you have the highest relationship-level will be automatically unlocked as long as you have defeated that friend in five duels.
