How to Attack the Roller Coaster Boss on Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius for PS2

"The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Attack of the Twonkies" has a lengthy battle with a Roller Coaster boss. It's impossible to hurt this boss by using direct attacks, but one of your gadgets can let some light into his dark room. This boss can teleport away from you, so your only chance to defeat him is to blanket the area in light. Once this boss is defeated you only have one more level and one more boss to go before the game is completed.

Instructions

- 1
  Play through the game until you reach the battle with the Roller Coaster Boss in Episode 13. Use the directional buttons to access the Hyperdrive inventory system, then use the directional buttons to scroll through your gadgets. Press "X" to equip the "Photon Energy Pulse" gadget.

  Press the "Square" button, hold it for a few seconds and release it. This will drop a Photon Energy Pulse on the ground which will punch a hole in the ceiling. Light will come through this hole, and light is the only thing that can harm the Roller Coaster Boss. Chase after the boss and drop Photon Energy Pulses along the way.

  Avoid the attacks of the Roller Coaster Boss. He'll throw goo at you, will string up webs so that you'll run into them and get trapped and will also use a goo that can chase you down. The first two attacks are fairly simple to avoid by dodging or not running into a web, while the moving goo can be stopped if you throw a Photon Energy Pulse in front of it.

  Use Photon Energy Pulses until the Roller Coaster Boss is trapped and defeated. If there are still dark patches this boss can go back into them and recharge. You'll need to drop a large enough number of Photon Energy Pulses to cover enough ground to kill this boss.
