Standing Grapple
If your opponent has you in a standing grapple, hold the analog stick down and press "Triangle" and "Square" to push him off you. Move the analog stick away from the fighter to further escape the hold. If the fighter is using heavy punches, press the "Circle" button to use heavy kicks and get out of the move.
Cage Escape Moves
If a fighter has pinned you against a cage, you can reverse the positions and slam him against the cage. Tilt the analog stick up and down as you press the "Triangle" button. Rotate the analog stick around so you can escape the hand grasps and position yourself behind your opponent. Press "Square" and push up on the analog stick to push him into the cage.
Ground Grapple
If your opponent straddles on top of you, hold the "Up" button on the D-pad to protect your face and guard attacks. Use the "X" and "Circle" buttons to lift your knees and push your opponent off you. Quickly press the up analog stick to wiggle out of the hold. Pay attention to the guard so you are not hit with a knockout punch.
Side Grapple
If your opponent has you pinned to the side, your ribs and face are vulnerable for attack. Quickly tap "X" and "Triangle" to roll over and escape the hold. Press the "Up" on the D-pad to guard your face from attacks. Press "Square" and push the analog stick to the right to swing your elbow and escape the hold.
