I Need to Know How to Get Past the Fat Medusa in God of War 2 on PS2

In "God of War II," Kratos enters the Temple of Euryale, an ancient building named after its ferocious guardian. Euryale, leader of the snake-like monsters called Medusas, is angry with you for killing her sisters. She confronts you in a small room where dodging her attacks is difficult. She tries to crush you beneath her massive body and turn you to stone. You can defeat her using your magic, the Rage of the Titans ability and the Golden Fleece, an item that reflects magic back at your attacker.

Instructions

- 1
  Stay away from Euryale as she slithers around the small arena. She often whips her long tail at you, and its long reach can strike you if you stand too close. Jump over her tail if she tries to whip you. She also slashes at you with her claws.

  Press "L1" to block Euryale's paralyzing gaze when she shoots beams of light from her eyes. If you do not block in time, you turn to stone. If this happens, wiggle the left analog stick quickly to break free. If you do not break free, you shatter and die when Euryale strikes you.

  Pick up the blue orbs Euryale drops when you deflect her paralyzing gaze. These fill your magic meter. Use the directional pad to select the Cronos' Rage spell. Press "L2" to fire the spell at her from a distance.

  Run up to Euryale and press "Square" to attack her quickly and then roll away when she tries to claw you. Repeat this process until Euryale climbs up the wall.

  Press "L1" to block Euryale's gaze when she shoots it at you, then press "Square" immediately to launch her magic back at her. Euryale will be momentarily stunned if you do this several times. If you fail, you turn into stone and Euryale leaps from the wall and tries to crush you.

  Run up to Euryale if you stunned her. Press "Circle" to grab her and throw her into one of the pillars, destroying it. She climbs to another pillar.

  Keep reflecting Euryale's gaze back to her. You can also use Cronos' Rage magic if you have trouble doing this. When she gets stunned again, press "Circle" next to her to break the second pillar.

  Dodge Euryale when she comes down from the wall. She chases you more quickly now. If your Rage of the Titans meter is full, press "L3" and "R3" together to activate the ability. Your attack power increases temporarily and you are invulnerable to attack. Deal as much damage to Euryale as you can before it wears off.

  Use magic against Euryale until it runs out. If Euryale is not yet stunned, attack her a few more times. When she falls down, press "Circle" to deal the killing blow.
