How to Make the Quarterback Run in PS2 NCAA Football

In "NCAA Football 11" for the PlayStation 2, you won't always find an open receiver before the defense gets to your quarterback. If you try to move your QB upfield without pressing the required button to run the quarterback, he stops before he gets to the line of scrimmage rather than moving past it. If you have an open lane to pick up yards with your quarterback, you have to press a specific to make your quarterback pull the ball down and take off.

     Call a passing play and hike the ball.

     Press and hold the "R2" button to pull the ball down and run with the quarterback. Use the left analog stick to direct the quarterback.

     Release the "R2" button after your quarterback crosses the line of scrimmage. The running controls revert to the same running controls you would use for other players.
