How to Score Free Kicks on Pro Evolution Soccer 6

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PES 6) features a free kicking mechanism that is difficult to master and consistently score with. However, once you learn the trick to scoring on each type of free kick (short range, medium range, and long range), you'll be able to take advantage of any mistakes your opponents make. Keep in mind your player's free kick accuracy, curl, shot power, and condition arrow will all factor in to whether or not you can beat the goalkeeper on the free kick.

Instructions

  Tap the "O" button lightly if you are just outside the penalty kick area. This will give the ball enough height to get over the wall of defenders, but keep it light enough that it will go under the cross bar of the goal.

  Aim for the bottom corner closest to you for medium range free kicks (18 to 24 meters) by pointing the joystick down and either left or right. Fill the power bar to the halfway line, then hold down the "X" button to shoot.

  Aim for the top corner closest to you during long range free kicks (25 to 30 meters) by pointing the joystick up and to that corner. Fill the power bar to just over the halfway point. Hold down the "Triangle" button to shoot.
