How to Get to the Esper in the Phase 2 Shaft

In "Final Fantasy XII," mythical creatures called Espers guard the world with god-like powers. Zodiark, the most powerful Esper, lives in a hidden tunnel in the Henne Mines. The path to Zodiark remains locked until you prove your strength to Geomancer Yugelu. To do so, you must catch at least 10 other Espers. Once you do, speak with Yugelu in the plains of Jahara to unlock the gate that leads to Zodiark's lair.

Instructions

- 1
  Collect at least 10 Espers. Espers are hidden around the world, and they are all very powerful opponents. Your party can defeat most Espers when they are around level 50.

  Find a red Teleport Crystal. Press "X" to pull up the map. Select the Jahara region to travel there.

  Follow the path through Jahara to reach the Lull of the Land area. Speak to Geomancer Yugelu. When he sees that you have 10 Espers, he opens the Phase II Dig for you.

  Go to a Teleport Crystal, and select the Henne Mines. When you arrive, walk north to reach the next area. Walk east and then head through the open gate.

  Run past the enemies in the Phase II Dig. Follow the mine cart tracks to Crossover C and go to the Pithead Junction.

  Run through the door at the end of the bridge to reach the Phase II Shaft. Follow the path to the Special Charter Shaft, then enter the Special Charter Dig. Zodiark waits for you in this room.
