Odin Sphere Secrets

Odin Sphere is a fantasy role playing video game released on the PlayStation 2 by Altus in 2007. The story focuses on five protagonists: Gwendolyn, Cornelius, Oswald, Mercedes and Velvet. You guide each of the characters through a series of "books." The plots of the books overlap, and the characters appear in each one, although only one is featured per book. The end of the game varies depending on the choices of the player in the sixth book.
  1. The "Good Ending"

    • You are rewarded with the "good ending" if they use the five playable characters in the correct order in the final book, "Armageddon." The correct order is: Cornelius, Oswald, Mercedes, Velvet, Gwendolyn. Cornelius fights the "Six-Eyed Beast," Oswald faces the "Lord of the Netherworld," Mercedes defeats the "Incarnation of Fire," Velvet takes on "The Cauldron" and Gwendolyn must defeat "The Last Dragon." The ending is the seventh book, the "Wheel of Fate." Some of the playable characters do not survive the "good ending".

    The "Bad Endings"

    • If you select the characters during "Armageddon" in any order other than as listed in "The 'Good Ending,'" the "bad endings" are triggered. In most cases, the player gets a generic "bad ending". If specific characters are used incorrectly at certain points, bonus "bad endings" specific to that character and boss are unlocked. For the first boss battle, Mercedes and Velvet have specific "bad endings". Cornelius is the only character with a special "bad ending" for the second boss. Gwendolyn and Oswald both have specific "bad endings" for the third boss battle. There are no special "bad endings" for the last two bosses.

    Unlockable Scenes

    • You unlock a special epilogue, set after the events of "Armageddon", if you first unlock and view every scene in the game, including both endings and all of the special "bad endings." Additionally, at the end of "Wheel of Fate," there is an unlockable curtain call. You simply watch through the entire credits and at the end don't push any buttons or keys. The curtain call will begin automatically.

    Heroic Mode

    • Heroic mode is a special game play mode in which the characters never gain any additional hit points when gaining levels. In order to unlock heroic mode, you must collect every text, recipe and alchemy mixture in the game.
