How to Get Luxollid to Appear in FF12

In "Final Fantasy XII," Luxollid, the rare entite, appears only after you have met several challenging conditions. Luxollid hides in the Pharos at Ridorana; stealing from it is the only way to acquire the rare Staff of the Magi weapon. Killing the Shadowseer monster in the Subterra level of the Pharos reveals another monster, called "Vagrant Soul." After you destroy the Vagrant Soul, Luxollid appears in Umbra, the second level of the Pharos.

Instructions

  Fast-travel to Rabanastre and enter the Clan Hall. Speak to the Clan Centurio leader, Montblanc, and take the "God or Devil?" mark from him.

  Go to the Pharos of Ridorana and make your way to the floor labeled "Unknown." Destroy the Shadowseer and the monsters he summons.

  Take the elevator, called the "Dais of Ascendance," to the Abyssal floor. Go to the northwest part of Abyssal. Look for the Vagrant Soul, a glowing purple orb. If you see it, kill it. If you do not see it, exit the area and return. The Vagrant Soul has a 25 percent chance of appearing, so it may take several tries before you see it.

  Ride the Dais of Ascendance immediately to the Umbra floor. If you leave the Pharos, Luxollid will not appear. Go to the southwest part of Umbra and enter the room farthest to the east. With the Shadowseer and Vagrant Soul dead, Luxollid appears to fight you.
