Things You'll Need
Instructions
Change the battle speed in the options menu to the highest setting. This step is optional, but makes the battle against the Demon Wall significantly easier. The battle speed increases the rate you can use attacks. This setting normally does not give an advantage to you because enemies also attack faster. However, this setting does not impact how fast the Demon Wall moves across the floor. It gives you a longer amount of time to kill the Demon Wall before your party is crushed.
Examine the torches around the room in which you fight the Demon Wall. The Demon Wall temporarily slows down if you examine a torch and it goes out. However, the Demon Wall temporarily speeds up if the torch flame turns blue. There are more torches that cause the Demon Wall to go slower, so it is to your advantage to use them.
Use your Quickening attacks, if available. These are very powerful, fast attacks. You may not have these available or charged before this fight. These attacks allow you to knock off a large amount of the Demon Wall's hit points (HP) at the start of the battle, which makes it significantly faster and easier to complete.
Attack the Demon Wall with normal attacks. The Demon Wall has the reflect status effect, which causes any spells cast on it to bounce back on your characters. These are the only attacks you need for the entire fight.
Cast Blindna or use an Eye Drop to cure blindness on any of your characters. Blindness is a status effect that significantly drops the accuracy of that character's attacks. Both Demon Walls use this status effect frequently.
Use a Remedy to cure Doom, which is a status effect that causes a timer to appear over a character. That character dies when the timer reaches zero. There is a high probability you are not going to find a Remedy before the mandatory Demon Wall countdown. In that case, revive the character with a Phoenix Down after Doom kills him. The Demon Walls only use Doom once during the entire fight.
Heal your characters with Cure spells or potions. The Demon Wall uses spells to damage your characters. Neither Demon Wall does much damage, especially compared to most other bosses, so this is not a major threat. However, a Demon Wall is still capable of killing off your characters if you allow it to whittle away his health.
