How to Exit a Game in PS2

Unlike more modern consoles, the "PlayStation 2" system does not have an in-depth software dashboard. The system possesses a simple backend menu for dealing with video settings and other basic tasks, but does not boast the rich interface of the PS3's XMB or the Xbox 360's dashboard. If you have recently purchased a PS2 and are used to exiting games on modern consoles, you may be surprised to learn how simple exiting is on an older system.

     Save your game. Every game has a different method for performing this task; some games auto-save, some require that you find a save point and others have an option in the main game menu.

     Wait for the save to complete to ensure none of your in-game progress is lost.

     Hit the Eject button on the front of the console.

     Take the disc out of the system and close the disc drive.

   • 5

     Press the Power button to turn off the console.
