"Arc the Lad: End of Darkness," is a role-playing game, developed for the PlayStation 2, in which the player controls the titular Arc, along with a wider cast of characters, as they visit different guilds and perform missions. Equipping certain cards is an important part of battle, and the player can take full advantage of his cards by combining, or "synthesizing," two cards to make a more powerful card. The "Mysterious Ore" card will not synthesize with any card, but knowing which cards are useful for synthesis can give you a variety of powerful cards.

  Create a "Brain Hilt" attack card by synthesizing a "Mysterious Ore" with a "Weapon Manual." Only Alec can perform this synthesis.

  Combine a "Mysterious Ore" with a "Hard Metal" to create a "Chief's Claw" attack card. Only Delma can perform this synthesis.

  Create a "Silver Rosary" attack card by combining the "Mysterious Ore" with "Light Metal." Combine another "Mysterious Ore" with a "Silver Rosary," and you will upgrade to a "Gold Rosary" attack card.

  Create the Nidella Hilt by combining the "Mysterious Ore" and "Nidellia Crest." Only Kharg can perform this synthesis.
