How to Customize Armor & Weapons in Final Fantasy 10

The main feature of the role-playing game "Final Fantasy X" is its battle system. Characters use a variety of abilities against opponents, including Black Magic, White Magic and physical attacks. A character's normal attack may be modified by his weapon while his defense may be increased with armor. Both weapons and armor can be customized in the main menu. HP, status effects and elemental resistances may be applied to make a character stronger in battle.

  Press the "Triangle" button to open the main menu.

  Select "Customize."

  Choose either "Weapons" or "Armor."

  Select the weapon or armor you wish to customize. Customizable weapons and armor are highlighted in white.

  Select the ability you wish to give the weapon or armor. You will need to have the correct items to add the ability to the equipment. For example, if you wish to add "Darktouch" to a weapon, you will need 60 Eye Drops in your inventory.

  Press the "X" button to confirm the addition of the ability. Your weapon or armor piece will now be customized.
