How to Get Palette's Metal Data in Megaman X8

A major component of the "Megaman" series is learning to use the special weapon of an enemy by absorbing its data. This almost always occurs after defeating that enemy. Pallette, one of the navigators in "Megaman X8," is a friendly character that is never fought. However, it is possible to unlock her data, "Pallette Bullets," and purchase it using metal in the Chip Development menu. This is a novelty rather than a useful selection. Pallette is a weaker copy of Axl, one of the playable characters.

Instructions

  Complete the game on normal or higher difficulty level. Choosing Pallette as your navigator for most of the stages speeds up unlocking her data, but is not required.

  Open the Chip Development menu, where you buy upgrades and bonuses for your characters. The data for Pallette, Alia or Layer is unlocked after you beat the game, depending on who you used the most as your navigator.

  Complete four more stages with Pallette as your navigator if you did not unlock her data when you completed the game the first time.

  Open the Chip Development menu.

  Purchase her data, Pallette Bullets, from the menu for 40,000 metal. This data allows you to play as Pallette.
