How to Get Halberds in Mega Man X8

In "Mega Man X8," you play as three different characters: X, Zero, and Axl. Each character can earn new weapons and upgrades. Some weapons are obtained by defeating bosses, while others are hidden with levels. Zero is able to obtain a halberd, referred to as the Durga Glaive (or the D Glaive). The D Glaive allows Zero to have a large attack range, reaching enemies that would not be accessible with other weapons.

  Defeat Gigavolt Man-O-War to get the Thunder Dancer attack.

  Choose Dark Mantis' Pitch Black stage.

  Progress through the level until you reach the area with the spotlights.

  Continue through the area until you find the lone guard.

  Use Axl and defeat the guard using his Copy Shot ability and pick up the DNA Core.

  Use the air-dash to jump over the pit, then climb the wall.

  Equip the DNA Core and transform into a guard. Press the "Special Attack" button to salute the sleeping guard and enter the generator room.

  Use the Thunder Dancer attack on the generator until it starts up. This will turn on the lights.

  Leave the generator room and drop down the hole.

  Continue until you reach the exit. Look for a platform above the door and jump to it using Zero's double jump ability. From there jump towards the door. There is a hidden platform that cannot be seen above the playable area. You will find a rare metal on the platform that unlocks Zero's D Glaive.
