How to Catch a Chocobo in the Final Fantasy X-2 Mini Game

The chocobo mini-game is an entertaining diversion throughout the main plot of "Final Fantasy X-2." Once you've gathered your own herd of these giant birds, you can send them in search of treasure all over the world map. Any chocobos you catch will appear at the chocobo ranch in the Calm Lands Monster Arena. Before you can begin catching chocobos, you'll have to gain access to the chocobo ranch by completing a sequence of events involving Clasko.

Instructions

- 1
  Locate and speak with Clasko at Mushroom Rock Road during the Foggy Fiend Frenzy mission in Chapter One. You can find him in the area where you agree to take on the mission.

  Finish the Foggy Fiend Frenzy mission and return to Mushroom Rock Road. Speak with Clasko again and allow him to board the airship.

  Begin the Cuckoo for Chocobos mission at the Mi'ihen Highroad during Chapter Two. Complete the mission and return to the Mi'hen Highroad. Bring Clasko aboard the ship.

  Head to the Calm Lands and follow Clasko to the Monster Arena when he exits the ship. Complete the Clean Sweep mission inside the Monster Arena. Speak with Clasko and he will give you a supply of Gysahl Greens. You can now begin catching chocobos.

  Fight random battles until you encounter a chocobo. Use the Item command to feed some Gysahl Greens to the chocobo. Defeat any enemies that have appeared, then feed Gysahl Greens to the chocobo again. The chocobo has now been captured and will appear in the chocobo ranch inside the Monster Arena.
